Obituary for Ernest A. Walton

Ernest A. Walton (affectionately known as Ernie) age 79 went home to be with the Lord on Resurrection Sunday, April16, 2017.

Ernest was born on February 2, 1938 in .Anderson, South Carolina. He was an active member of St. Matthews Baptist Church in Williamstown, New Jersey for 25 years where he served in the security ministry.

Ernest was blessed with a loving family. He married his best; friend, Beverly on December 2, 1983. Ernest was a devoted husband and father. His character displayed heartfelt kindness, tender compassion, and Christ like love.

Ernest consistently shared words of wisdom with his children and grandchildren. He always had time to answer a question or solve a problem, no matter how small.

Ernest spent 33 years employed by Dart where he retired in 2008. He encouraged his wife to retire as well so they could spend their retirement years together.

Ernest loved to go to Wal-Mart, Cowtown, and Farmers Market. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved doing crossword puzzles and playing scrabble. He loved to travel!

Ernest, the son of the late Armenia Cullen, leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Beverly of 33 years; children, Nadine Walton, Andre Walton (Johniece), Renee Jones (Fernando), Marlon Jones, Ronald Brown, Anthony Brown; siblings, Brenda Rice, Vernon Young, Sherry Cullen, Audrey Moore, Rodger Cullen, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family members.
