Obituary for Elaine Lucinda Rush

Elaine L Rush, affectionately known as “Mom-Mom”, daughter of the late Reba and Elwood Coffman, was born August 21, 1941, in Wilmington, DE. She departed this life on Saturday, May 11th 2019 in Manor Care Nursing Home facility.

Elaine was a devoted parent. Those who knew Elaine knew she was very straight forward and did not bite her tongue. Because of her transparency, she was respected by so many and it was appreciated. She enjoyed listening to music, conversing for hours with her daughters and absolutely adored the time she shared with her son-in-law, Brian Dickerson. Elaine loved going to the Casino and if you were not available when she was ready to go, she did not have a problem with catching the bus with her crew of friends to Atlantic City. She stood firmly on being independent and made sure her girls understood the vitality of having “your own”! On her free time, she enjoyed watching Lifetime on Sunday, sports and she could not get enough of her Reality T.V. shows.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elwood and Reba Coffman; brother Nathaniel Rush and youngest daughter, Dawn Rush-Dickerson.

Elaine will forever be remembered by her loving children, Daria, Teresa, and Donna Rush; Son-in-law Bryan Dickerson; grandchildren, Jarmar Rush, Brian Rush (Toni Rush), Norese Rush, Nikeya (Marc Tessein) Virgil Rush, Bryan Rush and Angel; 16 great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
