Phenomenal Man, Phenomenal Life

Tei’Quawm Rontique Williams, 26, born February 13, 1993 to Rochele Owens in Wilmington, Delaware. April 9, 2019 suddenly transitioned from this life as result of injuries sustained due to senseless act of gun violence.

A devoted son, brother, uncle, nephew, godfather and friend. Tei’Quawm, affectionately known as “Tei”, received his education at New Moyer Academy. Tei had a passion and great delight in family gatherings that was filled with endless humor. He had special interest in interior decorating, cooking, fashion, traveling and his car. Tei also took pride in looking his best while being on the go.

Tei’Quawm is predeceased by his grandmother, Carolyn Burks-Garcia; great-grandmom, Rosella Mae Benson; and aunt, Terri Benson.

Tei’Quawm leaves a legacy of love and memories to his biggest fan, his mother, Rochele (Nathanial) Owens; 4 siblings: Da’Nahja Blair of Wilmington, Delaware, De’Niya, Dream ,and Denad Blair all of Chester, Pennsylvania; niece, Hannah Bey; godchildren: Denzel Kilson-Aiken, Anylah Merritt; grandparents: Tyrone (Dana) Johnson of Townsend, Delaware, Eduardo Garcia of Newark, Delaware, and Almetta Treadway of Atlanta, Georgia; aunts: Janice Burks of Middletown, Delaware, Jamie Burks, Oneisha Burks of Newark, Delaware, Nicole (Ronald) Waters of Middletown, Delaware, Taiya Johnson of Millington, Maryland; uncle, Travis (Melissa) Burks, of Newark, Delaware; special friends: Keondra Vaughan, Danaeszya Fields and Jazmine Merritt; and a host of great-aunts, great- uncles, cousins, and other family and friends. Tei’ was loved by many.

Tei’Quawm’s life may seem short to many, but to those who were touched by him understand that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. He will forever be adored.
